Clear-Path.com Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy covers what information ClearPath Signage Systems collects from you when you visit the Clear-Path.com site, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. By using the Clear-Path.com site, you agree with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. Please be assured that ClearPath Signage Systems does not, and will not, sell, rent, or trade your personnel information.
1. The information we collect
When you use the Clear-Path.com site, we receive and collect certain information. The information that we receive and collect depends on what you do when you visit Clear-Path.com.
Information You Actively Submit to Clear-Path.com. For most of the browsing services we provide, we neither require nor collect "Personal Information" -- your name, email address, billing address, shipping address(es), phone number and credit card information. You can browse the Clear-Path.com site and take as much time as you want to review our products, sales tools and content without having to submit such Personal Information. Even when you use our shopping cart as you browse, there is no need to submit Personal Information.
In the following instances, however, we do need you to actively submit Personal Information: when you want to (i) complete an order; (ii) submit a sample and literature request.
Completing an Order. To complete an order, we require you to supply information such as name, billing address, ship to address, and credit card information.
ClearPath Signage Systems Information Request. If you submit an Information Request to us, you will need to supply your name, address, and email address in the form located at the Information Request page.
Other information. We may also collect tracking information as you navigate through the Clear-Path.com site. The tracking information is used to quantify the number of visitors who view individual pages and documents, and does not include Personal Information. We may employ “cookies”, which are a standard feature of internet browsers, to collect tracking information. The settings of your internet browser can be adjusted to refuse cookies from the Clear-Path.com site.
2. How we use and share Personal Information
ClearPath Signage Systems will use your Personal Information only to deliver items purchased through Clear-Path.com, provide information that you request, and send you ClearPath Signage Systems newsletters, product announcements, and promotional offers. ClearPath Signage Systems does not, and will not, sell, rent, or trade your personnel information.
ClearPath Signage Systems may share Personal Information that we collect as follows: Related business units. Your Personal Information may be shared with Rowmark, LLC, our parent company, and other divisions, subsidiaries, and affiliates of ClearPath Signage Systems and Rowmark, LLC. These related business units may send you newsletters, product announcements, and promotional offers.
Credit card companies. Credit card transactions are handled by a third-party financial institution and their vendors, which receive the credit card number and other personal identifying information only to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions.
Other Third Party Service Providers. Your Personal Information may be shared with other third party service providers such as customer service providers and package delivery services to help take, confirm, fill, and ship your order.
Law Enforcement Investigations. ClearPath Signage Systems will release Personal Information when we believe that the release is necessary to comply with law, enforce or apply the terms of any of our policies or user agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClearPath Signage Systems, our users, or others. For example, we may be required by law to disclose Personal Information about you without your consent and without notice in order to comply with a valid legal process such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant.
Fraud Protection. We may exchange information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection purposes.
3. Communications from ClearPath Signage Systems
If you submit Personal Information, you may receive the following communications from us:
Communications related to transaction and account maintenance. By placing an order through Clear-Path.com, you may receive communications from us relating to: order confirmations; order updates; order problems; and material changes to site policies and account management procedures.
Information Request. You will receive communications from us by placing an Information Request through Clear-Path.com.
Other Information. By placing an order through Clear-Path.com or by placing an Information Request through Clear-Path.com, you will be placed on our distribution list and receive newsletters, product announcements, and promotional offers from ClearPath Signage Systems and its related business units. If you do not wish to receive such communications from ClearPath Signage Systems and its related business units, you will be given an opportunity to be removed from the distribution list in any message or simply send an e-mail to newsletter@clear-path.com, requesting removal from the distribution list.
4. Underage customers
To comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, the Clear-Path.com web site is only available to users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use the Clear-Path.com website. ClearPath Signage Systems does not knowingly collect information online from children under the age of 13.
5. Linking to third-party web sites
When you click on links on our site that take you to a web site outside of Clear-Path.com, you will be subject to the third parties' privacy policies and terms of use. While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet, ClearPath Signage Systems cannot be responsible for the actions of any third-party web sites. We encourage you to read the posted privacy statement and the terms of use of any and every site you visit, whether you are linking from our site or browsing on your own.
6. Protecting your information
The Personal Information you provide -- including your credit card information -- to create and access an account with us and to make purchases from us is secured using industry standard e-commerce security technology such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. We use this SSL technology to reduce the risk of such information being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet. The encrypted data goes to a secure site where your information is stored on restricted-access computers located at restricted-access sites.
7. Alternative customer purchasing options
If you do not feel comfortable sending your credit card information to us over the Internet, you still can shop with us. We welcome you to call us to complete your purchase by phone.
8. California Privacy Rights
California Law permits our customers in California to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an e-mail to newsletter@clear-path.com.
9. Changes to Privacy Policy
